The CSS Series is Texwrap®'s continuous-motion side seal for applications demanding high throughput speeds and maximum package flexibility.

The CSS Series “box-motion” style wrappers are some of Texwrap®'s most popular machines due to their speed and versatility. The end seal moves horizontally with the product as the seal is made. When the seal is complete, the head raises and the carriage returns to make the next seal. The servodriven seal gives the operator control of dwell time and seal pressure from the touchscreen.

The CSS-2011 uses Texwrap®'s patented hybrid pneumatic cam system allows very fast back and forth movement of the carriage to seal and separate packages - without the harsh stops and starts inherent in competitive systems. Additionally, Texwrap®'s exclusive Motion Trim™ technology electronically minimizes the motion of the end seal. These features ensure maximum throughput speeds with long term reliability and minimal maintenance.

Flexibility & ease-of-use are hallmarks of Texwrap®'s design. With standard auto spacing control, horizontal and vertical photo eyes, and precise variation of conveyor speed to relax the film between products, the CSS Series accommodates randomly fed or choke-spaced product and separates them into reliable, consistent packages using the absolute minimum amount of film.

N/A High Throughput and Package Versatility

The CSS-2011 Continuous Motion Side Sealer is Texwrap®’s continuous-motion side seal offering for applications demanding high throughput speeds with maximum package flexibility. A perennial favorite of contract packagers, this style of wrapper with its 10 inch high, 20 inch wide product capacity, and 100 feet per minute conveyor speeds is versatile enough to accommodate a variety of product sizes and configurations.

The CSS-2011 is a “box-motion” style wrapper in which the device making the end seal moves horizontally with the product as the seal is being made. When the seal is complete, the head raises and the carriage returns to make the next seal. The vertical sealing motion is servo controlled which gives the operator control of the dwell time and the seal pressure from the touchscreen. The horizontal carriage motion uses Texwrap®'s patented hybrid pneumatic cam system which allows very fast movement of the carriage back and forth to seal and separate packages without the harsh stops and starts inherent in competitive systems. This allows maximum throughput speeds with long term reliability and minimum maintenance. Another feature increasing throughput speed, is Texwrap®’s exclusive Motion Trim technology which electronically minimizes the motion of the end seal device. In addition, the CSS-2011 includes a “speed maximizer” system which automatically brings the machine up to top speed for any given product setup.

Flexibility and Ease-of-Use

Flexibility and ease-of-use are hallmarks of Texwrap® design. With standard autospacing control, horizontal as well as vertical photoeyes, and the ability to precisely vary the conveyor speeds to relax the film between products, the CSS-2011 can accommodate randomly fed or choke-spaced product and accurately separate them for reliable, consistent packages using the absolute minimum amount of film. The CSS-2011 can also run either flat or centerfolded film when fitted with the flat film folder option.

The operator controls are located on a swivel-mount panel allowing it to easily be accessed from either side of the machine. The instructions are easy to understand, film threading is fast and easy, and, with the scrap winder in a very convenient location, operators find the CSS-2011 easy to keep running at maximum efficiency. With Allen-Bradley controls, AC inverter-duty motors, restricted service-level menus, and auto-tune heaters, the CSS-2011 is as popular with maintenance staffs as it is with the operators.

If your shrink wrap application requires the highest level of production performance across a wide variety of product sizes, true 24/7 reliability, maximum product flexibility, and minimum film usage, Texwrap®’s model CSS-2011 is the perfect solution.

Texwrap®’s CSS Series Side Seal Wrappers can be configured with an infeed from Texwrap® to take the product from the upstream equipment and handle it to prepare the product to be wrapped and then passed through the shrink tunnel to fully automate the wrapping process.

Texwrap® has developed a variety of standard infeed designs or we can create a unique design depending on the application requirement. Our CSS Series Side Seal Wrapping Turnkey Solutions provide the customer with a complete solution to reduce or dramatically reduce manual labor required for the line’s shrink wrapping operations.

Why Texwrap®?

Texwrap®’s CSS Series systems employs Texwrap® Versa Seal technology that ensures the machine creates a consistent, quality seal at a high speed, and are robust enough to run continuously, 3 shifts per day, 7 days a week.

Each machine is equipped with Texwrap®’s patented Motion Trim™ technology and conveyor speeds up to 140 feet per minute. The result is a machine that maximizes speed yet minimizes wear on moving parts.

The TVS Difference

The rugged yet simple design of the patented TVS (Texwrap® Versa Seal) side seal system produces the ultimate in consistent seal quality across a broad range of film types and gauges – with little or no adjustment.

Using very few moving parts, no air, and an uncoated sealing element ensures consistent seal quality with very little maintenance.
